It’s all a bit doom and gloom at the moment, so thank God for Mother’s Day! Come on into March and bring us a reason to celebrate please, Mother’s Day!
It’s been hard (but, let’s not lie, cheap) celebration this year, what with every restaurant and pub being closed and the supermarkets being sold out of everything, so this morning’s yearly event was a little more subdued this year. We simply had pancakes for breakfast (leftover pancake day mix, from when everything was a simpler time!) and had daffodils and a card on the table.
I hope everyone is safe and having a lovely Sunday. And those of you who can’t spend the day with your own mum’s, at least we know they’ll always understand and have our backs, am I right?
