How did you start blogging?

I started as a hobby while I was at university, and just blogged about things I was up to and what I was enjoying. You can read more about why I started blogging here.

Who takes your blog photos?

I do! I would say about 99.9% of the time I take my own photos, but occasionally I will ask a member of my family or friends to help me out if it’s a selfie I’m after.

What’s in your camera bag?

These days I mostly use my phone for my photos, which is just an iPhone 8. I then use Lightroom to edit my photos, and occasionally Canva to lay them out for social media.

Other than that I use my Sony A6000, which is an amazing little camera, and then edit on my laptop using Picasa – which I don’t love, but it does the job.

Do you use affiliate posts? (Disclaimer)

I do, one of the ways I make money from my blog is by using affiliate links. Affiliate links mean that if you click through them and buy a product I’ll get money for it, usually a few pence.

Whenever a post includes affiliate links I’ll include a small disclaimer at the top and bottom of the post. Not all links in this post will be affiliate links, but it means that some of the links included in the post are.

Do you include gifted products in your posts?

Occasionally yes, I will include an item that’s been gifted in my posts, but, like the affiliate links, I will include a disclaimer at the top and bottom of the post to say that it includes gifted items. In this instance, I will also say which product has been gifted within the post.

How do you decide which affiliate links and sponsored products to include in your posts?

I will never include any links or items in the blog that I don’t enjoy or rate myself. Equally, I don’t include things that are relevant to me or my readers. While it is a good thing for me to do, at the end of the day my blog is my baby, so will never include something on it that isn’t something I want to.

Are you a full-time blogger?

No, I’m a part-time blogger and then have a full-time job alongside it. On the weekends and evenings I’m a blogger, but during the weekdays I’m an events manager, which is my other passion.

Who is Bob, and what is he?

You may have seen Bob pop up a few times on the blog, but if you haven’t, Bob is my scruffy dog. Bob is a Beddlington Whippet, who we adopted when he was about 5 months old. He’s now 3 years old, so keep an eye out for him on the blog.
