I love a Lush shop as much as the next person, and every season I’m trailing the website for their seasonal specials (case and point, see my Halloween haul here). Whether you’re buying for a girly-giftee, a guy in need of a bit of me time, or a youngster that needs something a bit different to their bath time, Lush is likely to have something for everyone. This year I’ve stocked up on my favourite things from the Christmas collection for 2020 – the hard bit now is going to be working out which ones to keep for myself, and which ones to gift. Here’s my picks from the Lush website this year.
For a gift pack, you can’t beat the whimsical wrapping paper of the Night Before Christmas ready-wrapped gift box. It’s a perfect put together gift for anything like a secret santa, as it only costs around £11, and has two bath bombs inside. Definitely my go-to if I’m struggling for a gift idea for someone.
For something a little different, the I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas bath bomb is a really cute choice. When you run the bath water the hippo will float around in it, smelling of raspberries and popping candy. This one is a great option if you’re buying for any young pamperers in the making.
For a striking looking bath bomb go with Angels Delight. It’s bright pink and yellow, and smells of orange and tangerine. It’ll look great in a gift set as part of a larger present, or to soak in at the end of a Wintery day.
If you love anything celestial like I do – starry night Pinterest board and all – then the Shoot for the Stars bath bomb is probably the one for you. The bath water will turn a bright shade of blue, and the gold stars will linger, making it the ultimate nightly soak. Ingredients include creamed coconut, cocoa butter, almond oil, and Brazilian orange oil.
The Golden Wonder bath bomb is another one that makes a reappearance every year, and it’s a great choice to go with. Gold on the outside, with a surprise on the inside, the ingredients for this one include lime oil and sweet wild orange oil. And it looks like a mini present, so it Christmas ready.
To go for a Winter pamper night, rather than a Christmas pamper night, go with a Winter Garden bath bomb. This bath bombs reeks of a peaceful haven, and will even look like one with the petals it gives off. Scents include marigold petals, blue cornflower petals, pink delphinium petals, and ylang ylang oils.
Possibly my favourite on the list for its funky look, the Kinky Boots bubble bar. It’s got Santa got stuck up the chimney vibes, and is ideal if you want to buy a pamper treat that brings a bit of humour with it. A few of the ingredients are jasmine, cocoa butter, and clary sage oil.
And for the final choice for this year, here’s the Elfie Stick bubble stick, which comes shaped like the leg or boot of an elf. They advise that you can reuse this one for two to four baths, so it’s a gift that keeps on giving. Comes with scents of Sicilian lemon oil and smoky, earthy vetivert oil. The kids will love this one.
