Nothing makes me miss the Summer more than photographs of blue skies and blue seas. Honestly, writing this post in particular gave me serious holiday blues…
Mellieha is the nearest town to the unusually unique Popeye’s Village, a Popeye themed attraction complete with Popeye characters running around the place. We did visit, and it was bright and exciting, but it was after we’d wandered around the surrounding area that we discovered the real beauty of Malta.
We found it by accident, and just spent the next hour or so wandering around and taking photos, barely talking to each other. I’ve also been abroad to cities, like Florence and Lisbon, so I’ve never really seen scenes like these, but it was a really beautiful place that isn’t done justice in photos.
And that’s it for the short and sweet Malta Diaries. Next up I’ll be doing my Berlin Diaries, so keep an eye out for those, but that holiday was a completely different vibe from this one!
Overall, the lesson of the holiday seemed to be that it’s not always a bad thing to get lost.
