I think dressing your home for Autumn is just as exciting as decorating at Christmas…

And Amazon has some amazing home finds for the season. My Instagram is full of people sharing their fall transformations and making their homes cosy, ready for the colder time of the year. And I feel very inspired by everyone’s beautiful efforts. So inspired that I’m putting together a Amazon home wishlist.

This year I’m feeling the cosy effect particularly strongly, being that I’m going to be spending a lot more time at home while I’m on maternity leave. I’m looking forward to spending time in a warm and welcoming living room, with the fire on, watching my autumn-feel films. And both me and Joaquin wearing comfy pyjamas. I can’t wait.

So for today’s Blogtober-week post I’ve searched Amazon for my favourite Autumn home finds. I’ve found the classic pumpkin themed decor and forest wildlife items. But I’ve also found some more unexpected items that I think follow the cosy theme that’s perfect for Autumn.

Throw-style Pumpkins // how can you not have a pumpkin somewhere in your home at this time of year? These ones double as decor and cushions.

Secret Garden book vase // I fell in love with this vase as soon as I saw it. Although it’s not directly Autumn themed, it does remind me of libraries and reading afternoons when it’s gloomy outside, so it made the list.

Mushroom basket // I desperately want this for Joaquin’s room, maybe to double up as a toy holder or mulsin blanket storage.

Wooden display table // I had a stage where I was obsessed with these little display tables, and bought a few. Pop a plant and a candle on them, and they add a lovely extra layer to your decor.

Pumpkin cushions // these cushions are a more ‘grown up’ take on pumpkin decor. They’re simple but clearly Autumn, and come in a variety of colours.

Candle warmer light // another home item that I’m desperate to have this year. They’re an alternative display for your Autumn candles.

Everyday comfort book // don’t just fill your home with decor, but fill it with warming, Autumn cooking too. This is a comfort food book that’s perfect for this time of year.

Cordless lamp // these are really popular at the moment, and great because you can put them anywhere. I’m planning on one for our kitchen, then when we get to Summer it can come outside in the evenings.

Mouse Lamp // I’ve had this for years, and I love it. I’ve broken the tail off of mine, but I still stand him on my bedside table.

Faux Flowers // after I’ve been cutting sweet peas all Summer, my house is looking a little bit sad on the flower front. But for Autumn faux flowers are ideal.

Print pumpkins // a little bit of a different look on the pumpkins, if you’re after more of a showstopper.

Green candle // another slightly different take on Autumn, not a pumpkin or apple spice scent. But this one fits the look of Autumn, and if you don’t use it all, it’ll work for Christmas time too.

Glass pumpkin mug // I love this mug. There’s lots of ceramic pumpkin mugs coming up for the season, but this one is a different idea on it, and looks beautiful.

Green gingham cushions // you can step away from oranges and browns, and move towards sage greens for Autumn as well. It’s nice to throw in something slightly different, like these green gingham cushions. Gingham is one of my favourites too.

Champney’s Body Cleansers // get these in your bathroom for the season, and treat yourself while looking after your skin in the cold, harsh weather.

Brown photo frames // I have a lot of these, they’re perfect for photos or small prints.

Wicker Baskets – I have these as well – I keep my garden seeds in one, and printed photos in another. They add a wicker theme to your Autumn decor display.

Mushroom lights // and finally, these mushroom lights. They remind me of the sorts of ornaments I’d find in my grandma’s house growing up.
