An Autumn Evening Walk

I’ve picked up a new (ish) Autumn hobby – or rather tweaked an old hobby. I’ve been going for evening walks while listening to podcasts, and it’s a whole new level on the autumn walk. I know I’m late to the party on this – as usual – and it’s hardly a mind blowing discovery, but it’s a great way to squeeze in your daily exercise. I might do a post on the podcasts I’ve been choosing for my walks, but that’s for another day.

I’m really lucky to live near the canal, and we have a footpath that runs along it pretty much from my house, so I’ve always got a country walk with a decent path that I can go to. There’s also then a lovely footpath that runs up through these trees that’s great to round off the walk.

When you come across one of the canal bridges along the way there’s always a cat hanging around – sometimes it’s a black and white one, and sometimes it’s a ginger one. This time it was the ginger one, who’s super friendly and loves it when you stop for strokes – and loves it even more when I’m Bob-the-dog-less.

As long as the weather holds up I’m hoping to do a lot more Podcast evening walks, and maybe take Bob on a few of them – if I can coax him off the sofa for a second walk of the day.

xx
