Halloween Brownies

I had a lazy baking day yesterday – I had the urge for baking, but not the energy. So, I went to the shop and came home with a box-mix for brownies, and an abundance of decorating supplies, and spent my afternoon on Pinterest looking for inspiration.

If you’re looking for a few ideas for some Halloween baking, then here’s a few that I tried.

Spider Web Brownies

Really easy, but really effective – for these, all you need to do is use an icing tube to draw a white icing swirl on the top of a brownie. Then, using something like a skewer, draw invisible lines from the inside of the swirl to the outside.

Spider Brownies

For these, I found it easier to turn the brownies upside down to the softer side. Use broken up pretzels to create spider’s legs hanging off the side of the brownies, then use a big squeeze of white icing with a smaller squeeze of black icing on top of those to make the spider’s eyes.

Mummy Brownies

Use a white chocolate button and a squeeze of black icing on that to create large Mummy eyes, and stick to the top of a brownie using a squeeze of icing on the bottom of the eyes. Then, use lines of white icing criss-crossing across the brownie to make it look like bandages.

Voila!
