30 Acts of Kindness During Isolation

It’s a weird time at the moment, but it’s so important to remember that, although we’re kind of avoiding each other at the moment, we still need to be kind to each other. Now more than ever, in fact. And even though we can’t go see each other, or hug each other, there are still some ways that we can spread the love (and not the virus!) during isolation…

1. Send postal flowers
2. Host a virtual movie night
3. Smile at people you see on your daily outing
4. Check in with a phone call
5. Or even better, a video call
6. Host a house dinner party night
7. Have a video date with your SO
8. Leave a positive review for a business – they’ll probably be happy to see it right now
9. Clap for the NHS
10. Send someone a postcard

11. Send someone a cute care package
12. Share your ideas for self-isolation activities
13. Help elderly neighbours get their groceries
14. Send a motivational text to a friend
15. Have a virtual cup of tea and catch up with someone
16. Send a joke or funny photo/meme to someone
17. Spend time playing with your pet
18. Talk about isolation to people, they might want to vent
19. Donate to a charity
20. Set up a virtual challenge – whether it’s a baking challenge, or a sports challenge

21. Give praise to a colleague or family member
22. Offer to send someone a takeaway
23. Have a virtual lunch date with a colleague
24. Host a house party – on the app, of course
25. Share photos of your day with someone
26. Praise the staff at the supermarket
27. Host a virtual pamper night
28. Help your family around the house
29. Recommend good books and films you’ve enjoyed
30. Be available for when someone needs you
