This year has probably been particularly stressful for the older generation – not only did they have a new risk to worry about, but also probably had a little bit of loneliness. That means it’s even more important to get them a stunning gift this Christmas to let them know you’re thinking of them. Today’s post is for the grandparents on the gift list. It’s another list that can quickly become a little cliche, and admittedly I’ve stuck along the lines of the generic grandparents-loves, but it’s easy to sprout of from these ideas to find something a bit more appropriate.

If you’ve got a DIY grandparent that spends a lot of time in the shed, personalise it for them with a Personalised Man Cave Sign. My Granny loves spending time watching the birds and bugs out her window, so give them some encouragement with a Bee and Butterfly Feeder, or, if you’re gifting from a grandchild, let them decorate one of these Baker Ross bird feeders to make it extra special. To push the boat out on this front, go for a beautiful standing bird box, like this one from Not On The High Street. For the bird lover that isn’t hands-on, try this book, I Am The Seed That Grew The Tree, which has a nature themed poem for every day of the year. If it’s gardens they like, gift this The Gardener’s Garden book, which has some lovely photographs. Give them this Usual Suspects Mug to use while they’re watching or reading, and if they need something to fill it with how about this Hot Chocolate Gift Set. If they’re more on the move, switch out the mug for an oh-so-cute Hedgehog Reusable Cup. If they want a bit of attention after all the hand sanitising, then try this Humble Hand Lotion. For their home, I’m in love with this Ian Snow Bee Candle Holder, and if it’s a calendar you want to get them, this Papier floral calendar is adorable, or for a budget-blow-out, this Liberty floral calendar.

For even more treats for your grandparents…

  • Grow Fruits and Vegetables In Pots book – this is a really nice idea if you have a grandparent who may not have a large garden anymore, or if they’re struggling a little to manage a large vegetable patch.

  • Grandad Cheese Gift Box – give them cheese and a personalised message that they’re the best, the perfect gift for a cheese lover.

  • Tea and Coffee Discovery Hamper – this is a great option for a mixture of tea and coffee if they like both, and comes with a cute hamper that they’ll be able to keep using once all the treats are gone.

  • Grumpa T-Shirt – if you’ve got a grumpy-grandad brand him with a t-shirt to let everyone know.

  • Notecard and Notebook Sets – I couldn’t choose one from Papier because they were all so cute, but any one of these would be a great gift for a grandparent.

  • Bee Rust Cushion – a bit of a blow-the-budget gift, but this bee cushion is pretty cute, and gives off a bit of a vintage vibe too.

xx
