On what was probably our last sunny weekend of 2017 (bring on Autumn!), we rented an old blue camper van for a few days and took it on a trip to Weymouth. And when I say an old camper van, I mean a truly authentic VW camper van. It had four gears, a bedroom in the raise-up roof, and space for a third traveller in what was also the kitchen (this was my seat).
On part of our trip out on one of the days, we stopped by the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary. We’ve been to the Donkey Sanctuary a lot, but out of all of us, it was Bob’s first time, and his first ever donkey experience. He got on well with them, even if he was a little cautious, but the donkeys seemed more concerned with my (apparently delicious) handbag.
When we were done looking at the donkeys, we headed back to the camper-van for bacon sandwiches – very authentic campers holiday. Bob played ball for a bit in the field where we were parked, and we found the time for a couple of selfies, because, why not!
I’ve been lacking a lot with the blogging lately, but I’m umming and ah-ing about whether or not to give Blogtober a go this year. Watch this space, I’ll see what I can do over my next couple of days off.
Until then,
xx
