I’ve gone back to my old routine of being (very) behind with my monthly favourites post again this month, but here it is. May went down a busier route than I was expecting, but with my final hand ins for university, fancy dress costumes to make/buy, and rowing picking up again my time was more taken up than I’d thought it would be. So, here’s a few of my May favourites, better late than never…
1. Sequin ASOS top
I bought this top for my fancy dress costume, as a unicorn. It was a bit more expensive than I had hoped to spend on my fancy dress top, but it’s beautiful, and I’ll definitely wear it again.
2. All things Unicorn
So, this month was our university’s Summer Ball, the end of year fancy dress festival, and we went as unicorns. We had a unicorn chat group on WhatsApp, where we shared our costume ideas and buys with each other, but since then I’ve developed an eye for all things unicorn. (Unicorn Horn: ASOS)
3. Kiss face wash
I found this Kiss face wash from Wilkinsons, and it’s lovely. It comes out as a foam and bubbles up really nicely. As far as face wash goes I recommend this one.

4. Fairy Lights
Again, I’m sure these have made an appearance on my favourites lists before. I added a string of fairy lights onto my home made tutu for my unicorn fancy dress costume, and it’s so cute. If you want to do the same for festival season, just grab yourself a set of battery powered fairy lights, and if you don’t want to sew them on, just tuck them in your waistband.
5. Exam season being over
I won’t lie… I didn’t have any exams this time, but finishing my work felt amazing. I handed in my last assignment, gave my last presentation, and escaped from uni.
6. Glitter
Glitter is always a favourite, but this month there’s been an abundance of glitter. There’s even been some UV glitter this month, (Dust and Dance), feeling so inspired for festival season already!
And that’s that for another month. I’ve got a lovely day off today, so it’s a day spent in bed catching up with the new season of Orange is the New Black I think.
How lovely,
xx
