Post Furlough Resolutions

Current status – I’m on my third coffee of the day, I haven’t put any make up on yet, and I’ve left all my everyday jewellery at my boyfriend’s house – so there goes the jewellery post that I’d been half planning on for today. My motivation has been very up and down lately, and today is one of those days that is a bit of a struggle. Not ideal, seeing as I’m hoping to complete all my Blogtober posts today and still need to walk Bob.

This week I reflected on my seven month long furlough coming to an end, but I’ve also been thinking a lot about what’s going to happen after it’s finished and I’m back to work. Work isn’t going to be the same as it was when I left it, what with at home working and less hours, so it’s important to keep a routine and keep motivated. So, to keep myself on top, I’ve come up with a few resolutions going into the next stage of my Covid experience.

Workout all the time…

I started out my furlough with an intense workout schedule – for me, anyway – and did really well at sticking to it to begin with. But my motivation dropped off a little over the last few months, so it’s time to get a new plan together. My plan for now is to focus more on weights, and muscling myself up a bit. Watch this space, I may post an updated workout schedule.

Work away from home…

I won’t be heading out to an office anymore, but I’m keen not to get into the habit of working from my bedroom everyday – I don’t want to start to resent my safe space if I have a bad day or anything. My plan is to potentially work from my mum’s shop, which has a back room that I could maybe set up a space in for my work hours.

Eat healthy – meal plan…

I also used to make weekly meal plans, and I really miss having them to refer to. It’s so much harder to plan ahead when you don’t have a plan at the ready, so I’m going to think more about what I’m eating, and have it all planned out in advance.

That includes lunchtimes…

And lunches too. To go with my workout plan I’m going to eat a workout-friendly lunch. This is going to include meal planning and prepping in advance.

Drink water…

And finally, drink more water to keep up with my theme of a more healthy lifestyle. I’ve dropped back on this massively, but I’m hoping that if I’m sat at a desk for at least part of my day it’ll be a little easier at least.

xx
