Long gone are the days of waking up and having the struggle of deciding which outfit to wear. Now my biggest concern is ‘what am I going to be the most comfortable in?’ And it’s been a bit of a change in style for me.
I wasn’t much of a lounge wear fan, unless I was feeling unwell I would never really mooch around in anything less than a pair of jeans. But with everyday becoming a bit of a day off the need for lounge wear has dawned on me, and I’m reaching for the baggy joggers and leggings much more often these days. So for today’s post I’m sharing a few of my lounge wear go-tos that I’ve been wearing on repeat for the last few weeks.
Super soft jumpsuit
Give me plenty more where these came from, I’m not sure I’ve found a comfier outfit than these. I’ve always been a fan of a jumpsuit for events, so having a jumpsuit that I can wear as lounge wear is very welcome to my wardrobe. I have these from ASOS, in grey and oatmeal, and they’re great because they’re baggy but with a tie waist, so you can still give them a bit of shape.
Going out: cover with a denim jacket and add a pair of sandals to make a going outdoors outfit.
Sports leggings and comfy cardigan
Sports leggings used to be what I lived in when I was a rower, but they’ve moved over to the comfort clothes of my wardrobe now. For a lounging outfit, I go for my black Nike leggings, a black crop top, and then cover with a baggy, comfy cardigan, like my grey ASOS cardigan.
Going out: for going out I switch the cardigan for a comfy jumper, and then add a pair of Converse or trainers, or flip flops if it’s sunny.
Mom jeans
Mom jeans don’t feel like normal jeans – they always have an essence of casual about them, so for my lounge wear I always add a pair to the mix. I have my really old River Island pair that I love, and then just add an even older H&M floral vest top tucked in.
Going out: this one’s pretty much ready to go already, I just add my Birkenstocks and away I go.
