The Pet Portrait Helping Me with Bob FOMO

What do you think of Bob’s pet portrait? I may or may not have mentioned this before, but I’ve moved out from home for a while. At the start of the year, when a new lockdown was announced, I made the decision to move in with my boyfriend. It was a great decision to make because it means we still get to see each other – but it meant leaving Bob behind. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that occasionally I do get to ‘borrow’ him at the weekend, and he mainly just comes around and sleeps on the sofa while I’m doing my weekend jobs, but I still miss him a lot.

Luckily, to help me still have a bit of Bob in my everyday life, I was gifted a beautiful pet portrait of him from a friend. Before the whole lockdown thing ever really kicked off, I’d taken him out for a walk in Marlborough with my friends, and while we were there his mum took some photos of him. He’d also had a video of him take off of TikTok, so he was very popular at the time.

A little time later, and this portrait was the result, and it’s probably one of the most realistic portraits I’ve ever seen – it’s stunning! At the moment I have it up in the bedroom, still wrapped up carefully, until I can get out to buy a frame for it. Every time I’m missing Bob now I just take a look at the drawing, and it makes me feel so much better.

To find out more you can visit her website here, and see even more of her beautiful portraits on her Instagram page. I really recommend taking a look, they’re fabulous!

That’s what I said – he looks so proud of himself, even though all he did was pose for the photo, haha!

Bob is just adorable and I can see why you’d like to borrow him every now and then and love that drawing so much — it’s so well done!
