I woke up feeling eggy yesterday morning, listening to cars revving outside our house – got out of bed, looking out the window all geared up to get annoyed, and was met with three inches of snow. And my mood boosted immediately. It was a snow day!
I’m not usually a big fan of snow, it’s more inconvenient than fun, and my first thought is usually that it’s going to be a pain in the ass to get into work. Working from home used to be hard work on my small laptop, with no work phone, and I always ended up giving myself a headache. Now, however, I’m all set up working from home, plus it was a Sunday anyway, so it felt like we could actually go out and enjoy it.
So, for our snow day we just headed out on a little walk around the neighbourhood, and met Bob for a socially distanced photo in the snow. The supermarkets were pretty much empty, which was nice, and we picked up a great, warming dinner to stick in the slow cooker, so we were pretty happy with our day.
